We recommend a maximum of 5 cats per litter box. This will keep it hygienic and also make maintaining the litter box easy. If you have more cats, we recommend getting a second litter box.

Use a damp cleaning cloth to clean the outer cover or surface of the Cat Genie. Make sure no liquid gets into the housing. The housing and collection tray are removable and can therefore be easily removed and cleaned. Regular cleaning is recommended. Make sure all components are dry before reassembling.

The Cat Genie is in principle suitable for all cats. Your cat must weigh a minimum of 0.7 kg and a maximum of 10 kg.

Cats that are already used to a covered litter box will quickly adapt to the new litter box. We recommend placing the Cat Genie in the same place as the old litter box. You can leave the old litter box nearby for a short period of time. Take some cat litter from the old litter box and add it to the clean cat litter in the Cat Genie. As soon as your cat steps into the Cat Genie and feels the cat litter under his paws, he knows what to do.

Yes, our litter box does not have to be plugged directly into the socket. The litter box can also be connected using an extension cable.

In this case, we recommend that you turn off the Cat Genie and unplug it from the wall socket. Once the device is completely turned off, wait a few seconds and then turn the device back on. The STOP sign should then disappear and the Cat Genie should work without any problems.

The button below the screen is used to pause the device. If you press the button once, the Cat Genie will stop and the STOP sign will appear. If you then press the button again, the Cat Genie will restart.

We recommend that you check the cleaning system. You can remove the cover of the Cat Genie and check whether the parts are properly assembled.

If the Cat Genie displays an incorrect weight, you can perform the following steps:

1. At the bottom of the Cat Genie screen there is a button.
2. Press the button 8 times until the number 50 appears on the screen.
3. Then place a 20 kg weight or an object corresponding to this weight into the Cat Genie.
4. Press the button again.
5. The number 70 should appear on the display.
6. Press the button again.
7. The display should now show a weight of approximately 20kg.
8. Wait approximately 10 seconds until the green light starts flashing.
9. Remove the 20kg weight from the Cat Genie.
10. The system is ready for use again .
