How does IPL work?
IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, a treatment in which light pulses are applied to the skin. This energy is absorbed by melanin (pigment) in the hair and hair roots and converted into heat.
The soft light pulses bring your hair into a resting phase. The hair then falls out naturally and new hair growth is inhibited.
Is IPL safe?
The IPL Genie offers various additional safety features to optimally protect your skin. Here they are at a glance:
Smart Technology: This internal skin color sensor detects your skin color and automatically adjusts the light intensity to your skin type.
Safety system: The safety system ensures that the device can only flash when the attachment makes full contact with the skin.
UV Filter: The integrated UV filter protects your skin against UV radiation.

What is the difference between hair removal with IPL and hair removal with laser
The main difference between laser and IPL lies in the type of light they use. IPL (intense pulsed light) uses a broadband, pulsating light source. Filtered light is guided through the hair to the hair follicles. Laser, on the other hand, uses a monochrome, coherent light source.
